Cheryl Cutliffe – Attorney

Cheryl Cutliffe joined Basham & Scott, LLC in 2013 and focuses her practice on insurance subrogation and personal injury litigation. She brings to the firm over 25 years of prior experience as a litigation paralegal, followed by almost ten years serving as Executive Director of the Maine Board of Bar Examiners. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration/Public Administration from the University of Maine at Augusta, and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Maine School of Law. 

Cheryl was admitted to the Maine bar in 2013, to the United States District Court for the District of Maine in 2016, and to the Florida bar in 2020. She is an active member of the Maine State Bar Association and has previously served two terms on the Board of Governors and is currently the Association’s Treasurer and Chair of the Membership Committee. She previously sat on the Board of Governors of the New England Bar Association and is also a member of the American Bar Association. 

Cheryl has been recognized as a New England Rising Star by Super Lawyers, a division of Thomson Reuters, in each year since 2016.

When not practicing law, Cheryl enjoys spending time with family and friends at her lakeside home in Maine, traveling, reading and crafts. Cheryl is also a “snowbird” who enjoys spending winters at her home in Florida.
