Meg Mabee – Attorney Meg Mabee joined Basham & Scott in 2022 and is admitted to the North Carolina Bar. She began her career in the insurance industry, holding several licenses and handling complex claims throughout the United States. Prior to joining Basham & Scott, Meg held a variety of Financial Crimes, Compliance, and Risk roles for large financial institutions where she achieved several industry certifications, including the Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist designation. Meg graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from the University of Tampa and earned her Juris Doctor from The John Marshall Law School in Chicago, IL. While at John Marshall, Meg earned the Cali Excellence for the Future Award and was the 2015 Professor Arthur M. Scheller, Jr. Scholar. Additionally, Meg served as the Clerk for the Phi Delta Phi Legal Honor Society and volunteered at the Veterans Legal Clinic. Outside of practicing law, Meg enjoys spending time with her family, volunteering at her son’s school, and exploring the nearby beaches and mountains.
