Steven Rice – Attorney & Training Coordinator
Steven Rice graduated from the University of Maine School of Law in 2019 with cum laude honors. During law school, he served as the Communications Director for the Student Bar Association and the Online Editor for the Ocean and Coastal Bar Journal. He started his career working as a general defense litigator before joining Basham and Scott in 2022. He has successfully defended clients in the areas of land use, commercial leasing, contracts, criminal, and adult guardianship.
Since joining Basham and Scott, Steven has worked in insurance subrogation, successfully settling cases, and getting judgments for a host of clients. Steven also serves as the Training Coordinator for Basham and Scott. Steven is a former educator, and he has found a way to adapt his teaching skills to assist with developing and implementing training for the firm.
